It’s not Sunny Leone who you see in the Jism 2 poster. The visual that’s raised temperatures much before the release of this erotic thriller by Pooja Bhatt, is actually of Nathalia Kaur, who you saw gyrating in Ram Gopal Varma’s Department.
One look at the film, and you’ll get to know that the silhouette of the woman is not of Leone. Says Pooja, who we contacted to verify our doubt, “A year ago, when it was being speculated that the film will feature either Bipasha Basu or Mallika Sherawat, I decided to whet people’s appetite with a sexy poster. I called my friend, photographer Joy Datta, who deals with dusky Brazilian models for options. I chose Nathalia from among the ones he showed me.”
The poster was shot at Pooja’s farmhouse during the monsoon, much before Leone was even signed up. Later, Leone was shown the poster of Nathalia, seeing which she decided to sign the film. At the same time, Varma, knowing that Pooja had signed up Leone, wanted her for an item number for his film. Pooja refused, and Varma eventually went to Nathalia for the item number, proudly announcing her as his discovery. In fact, after seeing the poster of Jism 2, which actually has Nathalia, Varma even called Pooja to say that “I would be the first man standing in a queue to buy a ticket!” Little did he know that Pooja would love to tell him today that she had discovered Nathalia one year before he found her.
